Writesonic review: now an AI search visibility tool (not a beginner writer)
Writesonic began as an AI writing app. Today it's mainly a tool that checks how your brand shows up in AI answers from ChatGPT, Gemini and others, with AI articles included.

Good fit if: you run marketing for a business and want to see (and improve) whether AI assistants mention you.
Maybe skip if: you just want help writing emails or posts. After a free report, you have to pick a plan, and plans start at $79/month (billed annually).

Writesonic's free onboarding ran an AI Search Report on our own site, thetoolsweep.com. That's all we could use before a paid plan was required.

Most of the individual answers were locked behind an “Unlock all answers” button, so we couldn't see why the sentiment came out negative. Our site is brand new, so read these numbers as a demo of what the tool does, not a verdict on us or on Writesonic's accuracy.
Next came a plan picker we couldn't skip, offering a 7-day trial labelled “No credit card required”. We didn't start the trial, so we haven't checked that claim (not verified) and we haven't tested the paid features (prompt tracking, AI articles, site audits).

The plan picker in the app showed the same three prices billed annually (20% off). Monthly-billing prices weren't shown: not verified.
Good to know
- Free AI Search Report during signup, no payment asked at that point (we checked).
- Writesonic says it has a 7-day, no-questions-asked refund; cancellations take effect next billing cycle (from its pricing page, not tested).
